We’re very excited to be part of the elaborate renovation of the elevator lobbies of downtown Vancouver’s Bentall Centre. The multi-year, multi-phase project designed by ABBARCH Architecture includes updating the elevator lobbies in all four office towers.
Working closely with the owner of Bentall Centre, Ivanhoé Cambridge, ABBARCH Architecture developed a new standard for all of the multi-tenant lobbies. The goal was to create a refreshing update for the lobbies that was simple, striking and easy to repeat/adapt throughout all four towers.
The first lobby to get a new look was the 34th floor in Bentall IV. We supplied the custom wood planks; made with Walnut wood, each plank is wire brushed and then protected with an oil finish. The wood planks were installed on the walls in an elegant chevron pattern resulting in a sophisticated, memorable and welcoming lobby.
While every lobby will have a slightly varying design, the consistent element will be the Walnut wood panels. We look forward to seeing the different designs as the renovations are completed.
