From Lobbies to Beer Saloons

District Main Vancouver Lobby Lounge

1 Space, 3 Surfaces
District Main Lobby Lounge

Don’t think you have to limit your space or project to only one eco-friendly wall surface!

District Main, one of Vancouver’s trendiest boutique rental buildings, specified three wall surfaces for their beautiful lobby lounge – a space that residents can also rent to entertain.

The Eco Floor Store supplied and installed 100 year old barn wood wall tiles, Stikwood and recycled newspaper wallpaper for several feature walls. The combination of all three surfaces, along with the other materials and colours in the space, create a comfortable and inviting lounge.

The District Main Residences¬†is one of Vancouver’s newest boutique rental building. Located in one of the city’s hottest neighbourhoods, District Main by Kevington Building Corp¬†features two mixed-used buildings that combine retail spaces, luxury rentals and residential units.

The Lobby Lounge at¬†District Main is available to residents to rent for parties and it’s designed to impress! Designed by J & R Katz Design + Architecture Inc, the space includes a wine cabinet, a communal table, comfortable seating and many television screens. The Eco Floor Store supplied and installed three different wall surfaces for the¬†space: barn wood wall tiles, Stikwood and newsprint wallpaper.

London Bull LogoWhen the in-house interior design team for Browns Restaurant Group called us looking for a specific item for one of their restaurant brands, we jumped at the opportunity!

London Bull¬ģ is a new full-service, saloon style restaurant and traditional pub in Langley near Colossus. This past weekend was their grand opening and it was a packed house!¬†The new restaurant delivers a vibrant atmosphere with a wide selection of drinks and tasty eats.

The team’s¬†vision was to¬†create a lifestyle brand¬†where people can come drink, eat and enjoy a fun, lively environment. And one of the many details to help create the perfect environment was the need for real bourbon barrels. We’re happy to report we found two with loads of history!

The two bourbon barrels were used to make – you guessed it! – bourbon for several decades. They were then sent to Mexico for the distilling of tequila before being sent back to the US for their retirement. Who knew they’d end up in one of the trendiest’s spots in Langley, BC, Canada? ūüėČ

We love a challenge! If you’re looking for that perfect surface or decorative item for your upcoming design project, give us a shout. We may just be able to add a little history to your space.
