Unfortunately, most building materials contain high levels of toxic chemicals. That makes building a home that has an excellent indoor air quality a difficult challenge.
As a result of suffering from multiple chemical sensitivities, a homeowner in Aldergrove took on the challenge – and made her home so safe that it is R-2000-certified!
When it came time to select her floors, she came to us to discuss her many options. We supplied and installed two types of flooring throughout the home: silk oiled hardwood in the living room and bedrooms and Marmoleum in the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room.
Coswick Hardwood Floors
Beautiful and Sustainable
Made in Finland and FSC-certified, Coswick Solid Hardwood Floors manufactures hardwood and engineered hardwood floors. They are available in a number of different styles, including wide plank, wire brushed and silk oil finished, and backed by a substantial warranty.
One of our favourite finishes from Coswick is their beautiful Silk UV Oil finish. It features 4 coats of deep penetrating oil that crystallizes the wood’s fibers to help protect the floors. It has a silky-matte surface gloss finish that is resistant to moisture and fluctuations in temperature.

Marmoleum Floors
Made with 100% Recycled Content
Marmoleum is one of our most popular surfaces. It’s allergen-free and bacteria resistant, making it an ideal floor choice for homeowners with allergies and for healthcare buildings. It’s available in a number of different colours in sheets, tiles and click planks that can all be combined to create beautiful patterns and borders.
