Posted on September 30, 2013 by Jared

The Eco Floor Store is one of the largest suppliers of eco-friendly wall surfaces in the Vancouver area. We’ve got wall coverings for all types of spaces and design styles. From tiles made with upcycled longboards, sustainably harvested cork to reclaimed snow fences, you’ll find the right wall covering for your project – guaranteed!

Here are a few of our wall surfaces we recently featured at the Interior Design Show West in Vancouver:

Ollie Architectural Wall Tiles

Ollie Tiles by Ollitecture

Ollie Tiles are our most daring  wall covering to date. With prints like Fish Pimp, Hellcat and Vice City, this brand new wall surface is only for bold designers who like their designs to be off the hook.

Ollie Tiles are locally manufactured wall panels made from off-cuts of longboards produced by world famous, Vancouver-based company Rayne. The upcycled panels are made from sustainably harvested and rapidly renewable bamboo veneers. These veneers are then covered in cool custom graphics. The backing features a DIY ‘peel and stick’ application, making them easy to mount on virtually any interior wall surface.

Check out the cool prints here.

Digitally Printed Cork Wall Tiles

We absolutely love the warmth this wall treatment adds to a space. And since it’s made with reclaimed snow fences and contains no VOC’s, it’s also an eco hit in our showroom!

Love It or List It Vancouver Wall Feature

Posted on September 24, 2013 by Jared

Two times on Love It or List It Vancouver in one year – pinch us!

Last night’s episode of Love It or List It Vancouver was superb. From the always amazing design by Jillian Harris to the spectacular real estate picked by Todd Talbot, Season 1 Episode 17, nicknamed ‘Gentleman’s Home’, was inspiring from start to finish!

Jillian hand-picked Stikwood for the wall feature in Gordo and Nicholas’ master bedroom. We’ve got to give big props to Jillian for selecting the perfect blue for the walls to complement the natural tones of the recycled snow fences used in the wall covering. And the brass accents in the décor (LOVE the chandelier!) and black furniture are the icing on the cake!

Made of reclaimed snow fences from around the United States, Stikwood is an eco-friendly wall covering that is free of toxic VOCs. When selecting a wall treatment material for your bedroom, this is especially important. Stikwood is available in three colours – natural (seen above), weathered grey and weathered white. The wood tiles are easy to install with a quick peel and stick backing.

We’re still dizzy with excitement from this weekend’s much anticipated Interior Design Show West at the Vancouver Convention Centre. It was an inspiring four day event that showcased the city’s rising interior design stars, hottest new products and cutting edge design ideas.

Here are a few of our favourites from this year’s buzzing #IDSwest13:

Olli Panels

Olli panels by Ollitecture are peel and stick bamboo architectural wall panels made from upcycled off-cuts of Rayne Longboard skateboards. Recently featured in BCBusiness.ca, olli panels are available in seven daring prints. We love these unique tiles!

Feature Worx

You couldn’t just walk by the Riga Bench by Feature Worx without stopping and taking a photo. We loved this bench – a combo of art and function, wood and metal, dynamic and still. That’s it, this bench moves!
